The cover is woven from cashmere, silk, and viscose, creating a sleep surface that is soft against skin and breathes without retaining heat. Beneath it, three layers of hand-nested calico pocket springs, totalling 3,996 in a King size, compress and recover independently so that each zone of the body receives a calibrated response rather than a uniform one. The upholstery filling moves inward in distinct bands: hand-teased Real Shetland Wool blended with cashmere, alpaca, and silk sits closest to the surface and regulates temperature across the night, while hand-opened long-stranded Austrian Moosburger® horsetail acts as a micro-spring layer that channels air through the core and prevents heat from collecting beneath you. Blended Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton line both the upper and lower faces for consistent resilience. Five rows of hand side-stitching carry that support to the rail so the sleeping surface holds firm to the very edge, and hand-tied woollen tufts and twine lock every layer in place permanently.
