When 125 Years of British Craft Meets Bold Contemporary Design

Vispring, the Plymouth-based luxury bed maker behind the original pocket sprung mattress, has announced a landmark collaboration with British designer Tom Dixon, debuting at Salone del Mobile in Milan on April 21, 2026. The collection, crafted entirely by hand at Vispring’s Plymouth workshop, includes four headboards and a full bed frame joining the permanent Vispring lineup — the Groove, Heart, Rainbow, and Wingback headboards plus the Fat Bed — alongside three Milan-exclusive concept pieces (the Flare, Arch, and Bunny). Tom Dixon’s interior design agency, Design Research Studio, also staged a takeover of the historic Mulino Estate in Milan, transforming each room of the soon-to-open Mua Mua Hotel into an immersive showcase of the collection, blending Vispring’s centuries-old handcraft tradition with Dixon’s signature boldness of material and form.
